Wedgwood "Tartan Plaid" Cut-Block Full Lead Crystal Centrepiece Bowl

A centrepiece bowl from Wedgwood's crystal line in the Tartan Plaid pattern — deep block cuts crossing in both directions over a thick wall, so the whole bowl reads like a frosted chessboard when light passes through it. Ten inches across: it holds the middle of a table. Float flowers in it, fill it with fruit, or leave it empty as an object.
This piece is discontinued. The etched signature and the original label are both intact, and it was made in Yugoslavia — a country that ceased to exist in 1992. That production line cannot be restarted. There will not be a second one exactly like it.

Condition
Very good condition, and it appears never to have been used. No cracks, no chips, no utensil marks. There are a few faint scratches from storage on the body, visible only at certain angles to the light — we disclose every mark we can find, because that honesty is the whole basis of buying a one-of-one piece unseen.
Care
Hand wash in warm water and dry with a soft cloth. No dishwasher, no microwave, no abrasive cleaners. Lead crystal should not hold acidic liquids for long periods.
